Norden

Norden is the most Eastern section of Donner Summit and is mostly comprised of Donner Ski Ranch, Sugarbowl Resort and adjoining areas. There are a few homes along Donner Pass Road and several large acreage parcels. Norden is also the home of the unique “Tri-Lodge-Area” with Sierra Club’s Clair Tappan Lodge, Heidelmann Lodge and Cal Lodge, which offer unique places to enjoy the Summit for their members and the public. Prices are difficult to summarize in this area but some of the more affordable places to own on Donner Summit are the condominiums at Donner Ski Ranch, which sell for an average of $250,000.

Did you know that. The first man to invest in Sugar Bowl in 1936 was Walt Disney thus the North East shoulder of Crow Peak Ridge was named “Mount Disney”.
