Donner Lake

Named after and made famous by the historic winter of 1846/47 which trapped the Donner Party, this 3 mile lake is surrounded on the West by Donner Summit; on the North by Donner Ridge (I-80); and on the East by Donner Memorial State Park.  Activities here focus on State Park camping, water sports, cycling and rock climbing the granite cliffs of Donner Summit.  Donner Lake Property Owners Beach Club amenities are available to property owners through optional paid memberships.
